Across the Pond Profile: Ty Gwerder of Xtreme Couture

MMA stars on the big island of Hawaii like Martin Day of the UFC and others know what it is like to pass down their burning passion of mixed martial arts down the bloodline. In today’s episode of Across The Pond. you will meet a rider of the big kahuna whose knockout waves have left opponents swimming for dear life. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2018 and representing Xtreme Couture, Ty Gwerder holds a 4-1 record in five overall bouts as a professional with 100 percent of his wins thus far in his career as a pro-MMA fighter coming via knockout. Gwerder has fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance and Bellator MMA. All four of Gwerder’s wins as a pro have not made it past the first round or to the judge’s scorecards with 100 percent of those victories coming in five minutes or less.

In his MMA debut, he faced Tyler Smith and went on to knock him out in the first round. Gwerder defeated Anthony Rozema via TKO in the first round in his debut fight for Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 59. Then in his second appearance for the promotion at LFA 66, he knocked out Marco Sanchez in round one to score back to back wins with the promotion.

For his third and final outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 75, Gwerder took on Mike Jones and knocked him out in the first round. The win earned Gwerder the fourth knockout victory of his professional career along with his third win in a row under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance. With a blistering rate of utter destruction so far to the tune of four consecutive round one stoppages this knockout specialist knows to hang 10 and blow any opponent that chooses to stand across the cage from him right out of the water with the brute force of a big island tsunami!
