A professional mixed martial artist since March 2017 and representing Central Illinois Combat Club and pmt, Jake Childers owns an undefeated 8-0 professional record comprised of four submissions, two knockouts, and one decision. Prior to making his debut under the LFA banner at LFA 61 in February 2019, Childers fought for various regional promotions throughout the midwestern United States including Caged Aggression. He has finished six of his eight wins thus far in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter having only gone to the judges once in his career. Childers is currently 3-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner.

In his MMA debut at Caged Aggression 19 Night of Champions night 2, he faced Chance Crestigner and went on to submit him via brabo choke in the third round. Childers defeated Cody Dickerson via unanimous decision. Then at Pinnacle MMA 26, Childers tapped out Ernest Walls via rear-naked choke in round three. He submitted Cain Lugar via armbar in the first round at Caged Aggression 21. Childers tapped out Adem Mujakic in round one via arm-triangle choke at Caged Aggression 23.

in his debut fight under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 61, he took on Josh Marsh and defeated him via unanimous decision to pick up his first and only decision win as a professional. Childers knocked out Jamey Simmons in the first round at LFA 70. in the co-main event of LFA 82 he knocked out Nate Richardson in round one to score the second knockout victory of his professional career along with his third win in a row under the LFA banner.
