Oklahoma State University has produced many a household name in the world of mixed martial arts like former UFC champion Johnny Hendricks. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a rattlesnake of blood striking and ensnaring opponents as one of the hottest fire pistols at welterweight in Bellator MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2018 and representing American Kickboxing Academy, Kyle Crutchmer owns an undefeated 6-0 professional record comprised of four submissions, one knockout, and two decisions. Prior to debuting with Bellator MMA at Bellator 233 in November 2019, Crutchmer fought for numerous regional MMA promotions in his home state of Oklahoma including XFN. He has gone on to finish five of his six victories and is currently 2-0 under the banner of Bellator MMA with only two of the six wins having gone the full 15-minute distance to go along with three first-round finishes.

In his MMA debut at XFN 348, he faced Ronald Beasley and submitted him in the first round. Crutchmer also tapped out Rocky Rosas in the second round via arm-triangle choke at XFN Rage on the River. Then at XFN 352, he defeated Brandon Wright via TKO in round one to pick up his first and only knockout win as a professional thus far. Crutchmer defeated Josh Weston via unanimous decision at XFN 356.

In his debut fight under the Bellator MMA banner at Bellator 233, he took on Robert Gidron and defeated him via unanimous decision. At Bellator 239, Crutchmer submitted Scott Futrell via anaconda choke in the first round. The win earned Crutchmer the fourth submission victory of his professional career along with back to back wins in Bellator MMA. With five finishes in six pro appearances, this rattlesnake can squeeze and strike with the swiftness of a bolt of lightning so opponents should be wary of throwing caution to the winds at grave risk!
