Across the Pond Profile: Invicta Fighting Championships fighter Oliva Parker

The volunteer state has tasted glory in the MMA world with stars like Bellator MMA’S Taylor Turner seizing the spotlight with both hands wrapped around it in a vice-like grip. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpent of the smokies ready to strike out with determined venom and make Invicta Fighting Championships bleed a bright shade of orange at Invicta FC 40 on July 2. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2019 and representing Knoxville Martial Arts Academy under head coach Eric Turner, Oliva Parker owns an undefeated 4-0 record as a professional comprised of two submissions, one knockout, and one decision. Parker has fought for Valor Fighting Challenge a regional MMA promotion based in her home state of Tennesee and has gone on to earn a finish in three out of her four wins thus far in her career as a pro-MMA fighter having only managed to make it on to the judge’s scorecards once in her tenure with a single first-round finish in addition to two round two finishes.

In her MMA debut at Valor Fighting Challenge 54, she faced Jennifer Morgan and went on to defeat her via unanimous decision. Parker submitted Taryn Conklin in the second round via rear-naked choke at Valor Fighting Challenge 59. Then at Valor Fighting Challenge 61, she defeated Jamie Driver via TKO in the second round to pick up her first and only knockout win as a professional so far. At Valor Fighting Challenge 68 Fight Night at the Joe 12 Parker tapped out Carolyn Biskup-Roe via triangle choke in the first round. The win earned Parker the second submission victory of her professional career.

In her debut fight for Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 40 on July 2 live from Memorial Hall on UFC Fight Pass, she will face Chelsea Chandler in a duel at featherweight. Good luck Oliva!
