If there is a gold star promotion for up and coming female prospects searching for a slow and steady build-up in the professional MMA ranks, a contract with Invicta Fighting Championships is priority number one if you are looking to sign on the dotted line right out of the gate. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a smoky mountain falcon of fire and flame ready to swoop in and ruffle some feathers in the Invicta FC ranks at strawweight. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2019 and representing Sheild Systems Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, Genia Goodin owns an undefeated 2-0 record as a professional with both of her victories as a pro-MMA fighter coming via decision. Goodin has spent the whole of her professional tenure with Invicta Fighting Championships. Each of her pro wins have gotten the full three-round 15-minute treatment. She is currently 2-0 under the banner of Invicta Fighting Championships.

In her MMA debut at Invicta FC 35, she faced Valrie Wong and went on to defeat her via split decision. At Invicta FC 40 which marked the promotion’s first event since March Goodin defeated the debuting Shelby Koren via unanimous decision. The win earned Goodin the second decision victory of her professional career. She also earned back to back victories with Invicta Fighting Championships in the process. Strawweights everywhere have something to fear with this silver serpent lying in wait to strike any opponent that does not tread lightly with one shot of paralyzing venom that will have them down for the count!

Painter’s Take- With several fighters from the volunteer state not having the best of luck in their respective debuts under Invicta FC’S banner over the course of their promotional existence, you can expect Goodin to continue to get a low and slow build-up as is the case with most prospects I can see Goodin being a future participant in a phoenix rising tournament.
