A large part of hitting paydirt in the MMA world is remaining true to yourself even when the bright lights begin to rain down from the heavens above in a cascade of gleaming light. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a sizzling snake whose grip of constriction has left opponents gasping for a breath of fresh air. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2019 and representing Murcielago MMA, Mando Gutierrez owns an undefeated 4-0 record as a professional with all four of those wins coming via submission. Prior to his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 86 in July 2020, Gutierrez competed with Lights Out Championship and Total Warrior Combat. All of his victories thus far in his career as a pro-MMA fighter have come within the opening round. Gutierrez is currently 1-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has yet to see the judge’s or make it on to the scorecards during his tenure as a professional mixed martial artist.
In his MMA debut at Lights Out Championship 5, he faced Mike Thompson and went on to submit him via rear-naked choke in the first round. Gutierrez also tapped out Kevin Walker Jr in the second round at Total Warrior Combat. Then at Lights Out Championship 7, he submitted Adam Kehr in round one via rear-naked choke.
In his promotional debut fight for Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 86, Gutierrez tapped out Jeff Jepsen via rear-naked choke. The win earned Gutierrez the fourth submission victory of his professional career along with his fourth straight first-round finish in a row. He also earned his first win under the LFA banner in the process. With a 100 percent tapout rate, Gutierrez has shown just how brutalizing his ground game to foes that end up grabbing the fight by the horns with dire screams of agony!
