Across the Pond Profile: Cage Fury Fighting Championships welterweight champion Jeremiah Wells

The UFC and CFFC have locked arms in union throughout their time in an attempt at enrichment for their respective talent pools with the addition of top guns like Sean Brady. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a stone-cold eagle of steel looking to rap justice’s gavel with authority in the headliner of CFFC 85 on September 18. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2012 and representing Renzo Gracie Philly and EEFC, Jeremiah Wells holds an 8-2-1 record in 10 professional bouts comprised of three knockouts, three submissions, two decisions, and a draw. Wells is the current CFFC welterweight champion and has also fought for several other promotions throughout the course of his career including CES MMA. He has finished six of his eight victories during his time thus far as a professional mixed martial artist. Wells is 2-0 under the CFFC banner.

In his MMA debut at PA Cage Fight 14, he defeated Quinton Stephens via TKO in the first round. Wells submitted his next two opponents in Bradley Desir and Scott Hudson.  Then in his debut appearance with CES MMA at CES MMA 49. he knocked out Gary Balletto Jr in the first round. Wells defeated The Ultimate Fighter season 16 alumni Jon Manley via unanimous decision at CES MMA 50. In the main event of CES MMA 52 he defeated Jason Norwood via unanimous decision. Wells knocked out Mumia Abu Dey-Ali in the first round at CFFC 76. At CFFC 78 he tapped out Marco Smallman in the second round via rear-naked choke. The win earned Wells the third submission victory of his professional career along with back to back wins under the CFFC banner.

In the main event of CFFC 85 on September 18, he will take on submission specialist and Legacy Fighting Alliance veteran Bobby Lee in his next defense of the CFFC welterweight crown. Good luck Jeremiah!
