In the world of mixed martial arts, you are either the hammer or the nail that gets driven deep into the wood. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a red river sixshooter whose ground game is causing opponents to experience a whirlwind of an eight-second ride when a horse bucks a rider. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2011 and representing American Elite MMA, Ryan Hayes holds a 9-7 record in 15 professional bouts comprised of eight submissions and one decision. Hayes has finished eight out of his nine victories during his time thus far as a pro-MMA fighter. He has gone to the scorecards just once in his career as a professional mixed martial artist. Hayes competed on the regional MMA circuit in his home state of Oklahoma prior to making his promotional debut under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner at LFA 94 in October 2020 during phase three of the promotion’s 2020 reboot.

In his MMA debut at Club Raw, he submitted Tony Quintero in the first round. Hayes tapped out his next four opponents that included wins over William Stimmel and Teddy Potts. Then at Battlegrounds MMA 3, he submitted Jered Lopez via armbar in the third round. Hayes tapped out Marcus Kincaid in round one at Rage in the Cage. At HD Boxing Rampage at Remmington, he submitted Humberto Martinez in the first round to pick up the eighth submission of his career in the pro ranks.

At C3 Fights 48, Hayes faced Turrell Galloway and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The victory earned Hayes the first decision win of his professional career. With eight tapouts in nine wins overall and the savviness of a battle-hardened soldier of the trenches, Hayes knows how to hit the sweet spot so that bullets will burst upon impact and do maximum damage!
