Luke Campbell v Ryan Garcia preview

The start of the new year opens with an interesting clash between the much hyped Ryan Garcia and Olympic gold medallist and recent title challenger Luke Campbell.

The delayed bout takes place on Saturday 2nd January after the original bout fell due to Campbell testing positive for Coronavirus in December.

The experienced Campbell offers Garcia (20-0, 17KO) his first real challenge and if ‘The Flash’ can beat the 33-year-old Englishman then he would be in title contention.  The bout is for the WBC interim lightweight belt.

Campbell (20-3, 16KO) last fought in August 2019 when he was beaten comfortably by Vasiliy Lomachenko by unanimous decision but has been involved with a higher calibre of opponents.
