Across The Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Ciaran Clarke

The European MMA sector struck back with the determined force of a proud lion for Bellator MMA in 2020 amongst the global bleakness. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an emerald Arcangel looking to sound the horn of triumph as one of Ireland’s top soldiers of war heading into 2021. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2019 and representing SBG Drogheda under the steerage of head coach Paul Byrne, Ciaran Clarke owns an undefeated 3-0 record as a professional comprised of two decisions and one submission. Clarke has spent the entirety of his career as a pro-MMA fighter with Bellator MMA. He has finished one out of his three victories and is currently 3-0 under the banner of Bellator MMA with one finish. Clarke has made it onto the scorecards twice in his time as a professional mixed martial artist, winning via decision both times. His one and only finish in the professional ranks has come in round three.

In his professional and promotional debut at Bellator 227, he faced George Courtney and went on to submit him via rear-naked choke in the third round to earn his first and only submission win as a professional so far. Clarke defeated Jamie Faulding via unanimous decision at Bellator 240 to secure back to back wins with Bellator MMA.

Then in his third appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 248, he defeated Cage Warriors veteran Jean N’ Doye via unanimous decision. The victory earned Clarke the second decision win of his professional career. He also picked up his third win in a row under the banner of Bellator MMA in the process. A grinder who stalks his prey in pursuit of victory, Clarke is like a battleship that will fire a flurry of shots if prompted to engage once the bell of battle rings out!
