BRAVE CF 50: Zach Makovsky vs Velimurad Alkhasov rematch set for the Flyweight tournament

Another monumental Flyweight bout has been added to the already stacked BRAVE CF 50 fight card, set for April 1st. Zach Makovsky will once again take on Velimurad Alkhasov, this time in the BRAVE CF Flyweight tournament, the most prestigious tournament in the division’s history.

Makovsky and Alkhasov met for the first time back in January of last year, at BRAVE CF 34/WFC 24, in Slovenia. ‘’Fun Size’’ ended up winning that fight by a razor-thin split decision, handing Velimurad his first professional loss.

Since then, however, the combat sambo world champion bounced back by dominating Flavio Queiroz in the first round of the tournament, while Makovsky advanced after Abdul Hussein was forced to drop out from the quarter-finals.

Now both men meet in the semifinal of the tournament, with the stakes as high as ever. For Velimurad it’s time for revenge, while Makovsky wants to prove, once and for all, who’s the better fighter between both men.

Also set for BRAVE CF 50 is a quarter-final bout between Ali Bagautinov and Dustin Ortiz.

BRAVE CF 50 will be headlined by the best Arab MMA fighter of all time, as Jarrah Al-Silawi defends his Super Welterweight world title against top contender Ismail Naurdiev. In the co-main event, Lightweight kingpin Amin Ayoub takes on Ahmed Amir for his 155 lbs title, while Middleweight champ Mohammad Fakhreddine looks to make history by becoming the first-ever BRAVE CF double-weight champ when he takes on Mohammed Said Maalem for the vacant Light Heavyweight world title.
