Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett has today been signed by the UFC.

The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion has had 14 fights with Cage Warriors, amassing an 11-3 promotional record while putting on some of the most exciting performances ever seen in the Cage Warriors cage.

Speaking on Pimblett’s signing to the UFC, Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan said: “This is huge for Paddy and it’s been incredible top witness how he has progressed from being a teenager taking on full-grown men, to becoming our featherweight champion and selling out arenas.

“He has been our poster boy for years but now it’s his time to go to the UFC and show them what he can do, and I, with the rest of the Cage Warriors team, wish him the best of luck.”

Pimblett is a fan favourite among Cage Warriors fans with seven wins inside the distance, and “The baddy” has charmed fans with his honesty and one-liners over the years

When asked how it felt to finally sign for the UFC, Pimblett said: “It’s amazing, I said before my last fight that if I won I’d be signing for the UFC, and here I am.

“The fighters in the UFC best be ready for me, I’m not signing to mess about, I’m coming to be the champion, then I’m taking the UFC to Anfield.”
