BELLATOR MMA announces exclusive broadcast partnership in Ireland with Virgin Media

Gallagher vs. Patchy Mix confirmed for BELLATOR MMA 258 on May 7 to air live on Virgin Media Two.

BELLATOR MMA has today announced an exclusive broadcast partnership in Ireland with Virgin MediaTelevision, which will showcase all of the global MMA promotion’s events live in 2021, beginning with BELLATOR MMA 255: Pitbull vs. Sanchez on Friday, April 2.

 

The news comes hot on the heels of confirmation that USA’s Patchy “No Love” Mix (13-1) will face Irish bantamweight star James “The Strabanimal” Gallagher (11-1) at BELLATOR MMA 258 in an explosive matchup. Gallagher’s legion of Irish fans will now be able to watch the electrifying match-up from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday, May 7 LIVE on Virgin Media Two.

 

The partnership with Virgin Media will allow MMA fans in Ireland to watch an exciting crop of homegrown talent, which includes Leah McCourt, Peter Queally and Kiefer Crosbie, live across the Virgin Media Television network. In addition, they will be able to catch all the action from the wider BELLATOR roster of international stars.

 

This exciting news follows the recent landmark BELLATOR MMA telecast announcements of SHOWTIME in the US, BBC in the UK and Okko in Russia.

 

Additional bout announcements featuring Irish fighters are expected to be revealed in the coming days. Fans are advised to follow @Bellator_Europe for all the latest news.

 

All of BELLATOR’s 2021 events will be shown live either on Virgin Media Two or Virgin Media Sport, whilst highlights and BELLATOR news and updates will be available across the Virgin Media platform.

 

BELLATOR is set to make its highly anticipated return on Friday, April 2, with the Mohegan Sun playing host to theBELLATOR FightSphere. The event will feature a title fight in the main event slot, with Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and Emmanuel Sanchez going head-to-head for the Featherweight World Title in the Semifinals of the Featherweight World Grand Prix tournament. The promotion has also confirmed that three further events will be taking place throughout April and May, as it kicks off its 2021 calendar with a host of exciting bouts and some of the biggest names from the world of MMA in action.
