A professional mixed martial artist since April 2017 and representingĀ American Elite MMA, AJ NicholsĀ holds a 7-2-1 record over the span of nine professional bouts comprised of five submissions, one knockout, one draw. and a disqualification. Nichols has fought for several promotions over the course of his journey as a pro-MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance and has earned a finish in six out of his seven victories thus far during his time in the professional MMA ranks with five first-round finishes under his belt. He has also competed for various regional promotions in his home state of Oklahoma including HD MMA.

In his MMA debut at LFA 9, he defeatedĀ Joshua AndersonĀ in the second round. Nichols tapped out his next two foes inĀ Malcolm Hill andĀ Tyris Adams.Ā Then at HD MMA 13, he submittedĀ LuisĀ MuroĀ in the first round. Nichols tapped outĀ Shakir McKillipĀ in round one at Rage in the Cage OKC 66. He submittedĀ Shea ConleyĀ in the first round at Freestyle Cage Fighting 59 to pick up his fifth submission win as a professional.

For his third outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 101 as part of the promotion’s sooner state kickoff, Nichols defeated Brazil’sĀ Miguel JacobĀ via TKO in the third round. The victory earned Nichols the first knockout win of his professional career along with win number two under the LFA banner.
