Across The Pond Profile: Valor Fighting Challenge fighter Morgan Hickam

In Mixed Martial Arts, the measure of your success has no line. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a bear of billowing black smoke from the great southern mountains protecting her home turf with the steely fierceness of a mother guardian of the majesty of nature. A professional mixed martial artist since May 2019 and representing Knoxville Martial Arts Academy under the steerage of head coach Eric Turner and a teammate of UFC fighter Shawna Young along with Oliva Parker and Taylor Turner, Morgan Hickam holds a 2-2 record through four contests as a professional with both of her victories coming via decision. Hickam has spent her entire tenure as a pro-MMA fighter with Valor Fighting Challenge, a regional MMA promotion based in her home state of Tennesee. She also competed for Invicta Fighting Championships in an exhibition affair as part of the promotion’s third installment of the Pheonix Rising series. Hickam has gone to the scorecards twice during her time in the professional ranks, winning via decision both times. Each of her wins during her time as a professional mixed martial artist thus far have come at the conclusion of a three-round affair over a 15-minute period.

At Valor Fighting Challenge Fight Night at the Joe 12, she faced Moriel Charneski and went on to defeat her via split decision. Then in the opening bout of Valor Fighting Challenge 80 in an all-pro card, Hickam defeated Hannah Elswick Rosario via unanimous decision. The victory earned Hickam the second decision win of her professional career. She also picked up back-to-back victories under the banner of Valor Fighting Challenge in the process. Having earned many a battle scar as one of Tennesee’s top bears of brutality, Hickam is one mother bear who fights to the final bell to protect what she holds most dear!
