Across The Pond Profile: Superior Challenge fighter Martin Hudson

The ability to dole out and receive punishment is the top factor in determining a fighter’s mental makeup. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a sailor of the stormy waves ready to cast the iron anchor at Superior Challenge 22 on May 29. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2014 and representing Crossface Training Center under the guidance of head coach David Lee, Martin Hudson owns a 5-7 record in 12 professional contests comprised of three submissions and two knockouts. Hudson has fought for various promotions throughout his journey as a pro-MMA fighter including BAMMA, Full Contact Contender, and Bellator MMA. He has finished 100 percent of his victories during his time in the professional ranks with four first-round finishes under his belt. The majority of Hudson’s wins during his career as a professional mixed martial artist have come before the close of the opening round. He has yet to make it onto the scorecards during his pro career. Hudson has also fought for Brave CF, BCMMA, and Budo Fighting Championships in addition to Superior Challenge during his time as a pro-MMA fighter thus far.

In his MMA debut at Too Much Talent fight night 5, he faced David Markiewicz and submitted him via rear-naked choke in the first round. Hudson also tapped out Mareks Belevics in round one via rear-naked choke at BCMMA 10. Then at Superior Challenge 12 Malmo 2, he defeated Alejandro Ferreira via TKO in the second round. Hudson defeated Will Cairns via TKO in round one at Budo 14.

At Brave CF 30, he submitted Bhabajeet Choudhury via rear-naked choke in the first round. The victory earned Hudson the third submission win of his professional career. He also picked up his fourth first-round finish in the process. On May 29 at Superior Challenge 22, he will take on Robin Roos in a welterweight affair. Good luck Martin!
