Sam “Urai” Creasey will welcome Aaron Aby to the Cage Warriors flyweight division at CW 123 on 24th June.
Aby enters Cage Warriors on the back of a five-fight unbeaten streak, while Creasey will be looking to score his third successive win.
Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan said: “This is a fight that fans are going to love watching.
“Aaron has shown warrior spirit inside and outside the cage and is very deserving of an opportunity in Cage Warriors.
“Creasey is also a fantastic fighter with an exciting style and I can’t wait to see these two fighters square off.”
Aby enters Cage Warriors with an 11-3-1 record, and has a truly inspiring story, having battled Cystic Fibrosis since birth and beating cancer on his way into the promotion.
When asked about what entering the Cage Warriors flyweight division meant to him, Aby said: “One of the reasons signing for Cage Warriors means so much to me is that while I was ill, one of the surgeons told me I had to write my will for my family and to be prepared for the fact I might not come out of these operations.
โI always held onto the chance of fighting and it was always a driving force for me when I was having those bad days.
โIan Dean had messaged me at the time I was unwell offering me a fight, and when I explained my situation to him, he told me that there would be a pair of yellow gloves waiting for me for when I come out the other side.”
Aby’s first test in Cage Warriors will be Creasey, a two-time flyweight title challenger, who had this to say about “Superman” Aby: “I’ve seen Aaron on the scene for a few years, we’ve run into each other a few times and he’s a nice guy.
“I’ve watched him perform, I’ve watched him take some tough beatings and really pull through and get the win and I’ve seen him put on some wonderful performances.
“I’m looking forward to testing myself against him and I believe my experience has been with tougher opposition and that will show in the fight.”
Cage Warriors fans will be able to watch this fight on Thursday 24th June on UFC Fight Pass and via Cage Warriors‘ global broadcast partners.
