Conor McGregor appears to be in top shape

This summer, McGregor and Poirier will fight for the third time at UFC 264 in Las Vegas. McGregor knocked Poirier out in a featherweight bout at UFC 178 in September 2014, and Poirier returned the favor with a second-round knockout over McGregor in the rematch at UFC 257 earlier this year.

The two will now face off for the third and final time, with all the marbles on the line, with the winner set to face new UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira next.

McGregor posted a picture of himself on social media ahead of his trilogy war with Poirier, in which he seemed to be in fantastic shape.

McGregor’s rematch with Poirier did not go his way, and he obviously does not want to lose to his rival again. This is a pivotal battle in McGregor’s career. True, he is still the UFC‘s biggest star, but after losing his most recent fight by knockout to Poirier, he is at a crossroads in his career if he wants to remain a UFC champion.

If he wants to battle Oliveira and try to retake the belt that was once his, he must win this trilogy fight with Poirier, because another defeat in such a stacked division will be difficult.
