The flyweight tournament final between Sam Creasey and Luke Shanks will take place at the historic York Hall in London, on the final night of Cage Warriors‘ fifth Trilogy Series, CW 129.

The stakes could not be higher for this fight, with the winner being crowned the new champion of the Cage Warriors flyweight division.

Ahead of the tournament final, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “This tournament final has so many narratives and that is making me very excited to see it.

“Sam Creasey has had two cracks at the title and came up short twice. For him to win the title at the third time of asking in this fashion, by coming through a tournament with dangerous matchups, would just be incredible.

“Luke Shanks was of course a former flyweight champion and lost the title to Jake Hadley.

“Winning this tournament is his ticket back to redemption.

“I can’t wait to watch this fight along with all the fans in a sold-out York Hall!”

Creasey enters this title fight with a 14-3 record, with 10 wins coming within the distance, split evenly between knockouts and submissions.

Talking about his third chance to become Cage Warriors flyweight champion, Creasey said: “This is another test on my journey to become a better martial artist.

“Luke (Shanks) is a great fighter who will push me to the limits of my ability!”

Shanks enters this title bout with an 8-2 record, with four stoppage wins to his name.

“The Apocalypse”, who will have an opportunity to become the first-ever two-time Cage Warriors flyweight champion, was very direct when asked about the upcoming fight, telling Cage Warriors: “I’m looking to get my belt back in style and leave as the undisputed champion!”
