Across The Pond Profile: Tresean Gore of American Top Team Lima

The story of the underdog is one every MMA fan can appreciate regardless of how they first came across the sport. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a yellow jacket of the south whose venomous stinger has the opposition down for the count. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2018 and representing American Top Team Lima, Tresean Gore holds an unbeaten 3-0 professional record comprised of one knockout, one submission, and one decision. Gore appeared on The Ultimate Fighter season 29 as a member of Team Ortega in 2021 and has finished two out of his three victories over the course of his journey thus far as a pro-MMA fighter, with two first-round finishes under his belt. He has also competed for the National Fighting Championship and Alabama Fighting Championship, regional MMA promotions that are based in the Southern region of the United States. Gore has gone to the scorecards once during his time in the professional ranks. Both of Gore’s finishes during his pro career have come inside the distance in the space of a single round. In his MMA debut at National Fighting Championship 105, he faced Prince Ellerbe and went on to defeat him via split decision. Gore defeated LJ Jones via TKO in the first round at National Fighting Championship 108. Then at AFC 5, he tapped out Christian Echols in the first round via rear-naked choke. In 2021, Gore was chosen to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 29 cast at middleweight and was the fourth pick of team Ortega. He defeated Rider Newman via a unanimous decision to advance to the semi-finals. Gore defeated Gilbert Urbina in the second round to advance to the finale but had to withdraw due to a knee injury. Gore is one bulldog whose animal instincts are on full display once the cage door becomes locked shut!

Sam Patterson targets big win at BRAVE CF 55

A proud son of Watford, England will be looking to raise the nations flag high at BRAVE Combat Federations much awaited return to Russia on November 6. Sam ‘The Future’ Patterson is set to take on hometown favourite Kamil Magomedov on the supporting card of BRAVE CF 55, which will emanate from the bustling city of Rostov-on-Don. The 25-year-old Englishman has been undefeated since 2018, racking up six-straight victories with five coming by way of finish. Following defeating MMA veteran Felipe Silva via first round knockout, Patterson elevated himself to a potential contender by outpointing Yiles ‘Broly’ Dijroun at BRAVE CF 51 last June. ‘The Future’ believes that he has a business to settle with BRAVE CF Lightweight World Champion Ahmed ‘The Butcher’ Amir as their first encounter in April 2019 ended in an anticlimactic draw. But before he can dream of a World Title date with Amir, Patterson must enter enemy territory and beat Magomedov in front of his countrymen on November 6. like Patterson, Magomedov is riding high on a stellar winning streak and owns an impressive 14-1 slate as a pro. In a land known for wrestling, he stands out as one of the best jiu-jitsu practitioners in the region. Magomedov’s skills equipped him to become the head jiu-jitsu coach for KHK MMA. The 29-year-old brings in a brand-new test for Patterson, which he hasn’t seen in his young career. However, a victory over the Russian powerhouse will certainly put him into a much higher pedestal that could pave the way for a rematch against Amir. BRAVE CF 55 will be headlined by a pivotal Flyweight tournament semi-finals bout between Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres and Ali ‘Puncher King’ Bagautinov and is going to be broadcast live and free in the United Kingdom on BRAVE CF TV on Saturday November 6th at 2:00PM (GMT+1).
