In mixed martial arts, self-belief and proving your worth in various promotions when you start out on your MMA trek will end up serving you well later on down the road because you know what to expect. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpent of shimmering flames looking to banish winter’s chill and quench his thirst for competition in the headliner of Evolution Of Combat 10 on November 6. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2019 and representing Steel Evolution, Oscar Ownsworth owns a 3-2 record through five professional bouts comprised of one submission, one knockout, and one decision. Ownsworth has fought for multiple promotions over the duration of his journey as a pro-MMA fighter so far including Almighty Fighting Championship, Caged Steel, and Cage Warriors. He has finished two out of his three wins during his time in the professional ranks, with two first-round finishes under his belt. Ownsworth has gone to the scorecards once during his career as a professional mixed martial artist, sweeping them across the board in that one and only instance. Both of Ownsworth’s finishes during his pro career have come within the opening round in the timeframe of five minutes or less.
At Almighty Fighting Championship 16, Ownsworth faced Eddie Johnson and went on to tap him out via bulldog choke in the first round. He defeated Richie Bonalle via unanimous decision at Caged Steel 25. Then at BMF MMA 1, he defeated Ryan Taylor via TKO in round one. The victory earned Ownsworth the first knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his second first-round finish in the process.
in the main event of Evolution Of Combat 10 on November 6, he will face off against Adam Gregory in a featherweight affair. Good luck Oscar!
