Moving to a new state and out of your comfort zone is a necessary part of a fighter’s growth. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a panther of increasing power tearing through Shamrock FC with his bulldozer-like claws. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2018 and representing Samford MMA, Garrett Armfield owns a 7-2 record through nine professional bouts comprised of four knockouts and three submissions. Armfield has spent the bulk of his career as a pro-MMA fighter with Shamrock FC. He has also fought for Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Armfield has finished 100 percent of his wins during his time in the professional ranks. He has yet to reach the scorecards at any point over the course of his pro career. The majority of Armfield’s victories during his time as a professional mixed martial artist thus far have come within the opening round. All seven of his wins have come inside the distance.
In his MMA debut at Pyramid Fights 8, he faced Shane Bridges and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Armfield also defeated Joey Estrada via TKO in round one at Walkout FC 13 new era. Then at Shamrock FC 322, he submitted Earnest Walls in the first round via rear-naked choke. Armfield defeated Chris Johnson via TKO in round two at Shamrock FC 327. At CFFC 86, he defeated Kenneth Richmond via TKO in the first round. Armfield tapped out Alex Macias in round one via rear-naked choke at Shamrock FC 329.
At Shamrock FC 332, he submitted Mark Slyter via rear-naked choke in the first round. The victory earned Armfield the third submission win of his professional career. At 7-2 with a 100 percent finish rate, Armfield is one panther who can smell fear in an opponent and hunt him down to the ends of the earth!
