Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Antonio Sheldon

Cage Warriors is always on the hunt for the best talent across Europe to bolster their talent-rich divisions. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an archer of reddening rage ready to hit the bullseye for the promotion in 2022. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2017 and representing SBG Rochdale, Antonio Sheldon owns a 5-2 record through seven professional bouts comprised of three knockouts, one submission, and one decision. Sheldon has fought for many promotions over the course of his journey so far as a pro-MMA fighter including MTK MMA and ACB. He has finished four out of his five victories during his time in the professional ranks thus far. Sheldon has only gone to the scorecards a single time during his pro career, sweeping the scorecards across the board in that instance. The majority of his finishes during his time as a professional mixed martial artist have come within two rounds, with three-first round finishes under his belt to go along with one second-round finish.

In his MMA debut, he faced Tyler John Thomas and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round, Sheldon submitted Ricardo Franco via rear-naked choke in round two in his one and only appearance with ACB at ACB 65 to pick up his first submission victory as a professional. Then in the main event of ICE FC 21, he defeated Dawid Zan via unanimous decision to earn the only decision win of his pro career. At Probellum London, Sheldon defeated Tom Mabandla via TKO in the first round.

At UK Fighting Championships 17, he knocked out Spain’s Aratz Garmendia in round one. The victory earned Sheldon the third knockout win of his professional career. With a 5-2 record and a finishing rate of 80 percent, Sheldon is one archer whose accurate aim is always on the mark of perfection!
