Norman Parke To Face 265lb “Monster” On MMA Return

Although he suffered a doctor stoppage loss the last time he competed inside the cage, Northern Ireland’s own Norman Parke will be hoping to refind the form that helped him to five wins in his last six when he returns from his short MMA hiatus later this year at Fame 13.

The UFC vet will test himself against the 43-year-old Pawel Mikolajuw, a monstrous heavyweight—often referred to as “Popek Monster”—who has both knockout and submission wins on his 4-4 MMA record. Despite being much less experienced than his opponent, the Polish-born musician is set to weigh almost 80lbs more than Parke on the night.

While not much is known about Fame 13, Norman Parke revealed to his fans over social media that his comeback fight is imminent, confirming it to be an “open weight” bout that will serve as the co-main event for the evening.

The former interim KSW lightweight champion will be hoping to make another push for MMA gold, and at just 34-years of age, Parke can kickstart his resurgence in the sport with a win over the much larger Pawel Mikolajuw when the two meet on March 26.
