Aaron ‘The Pinglord’ Gray 2-1-0 is an English professional Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the Lightweight division, representing Team Crossface. He has competed for MTK MMA, WCMMA, Almighty Fighting Championship and is due to make his debut for Norwich based organisation Road to Contenders this Saturday at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to speak to me today Aaron, and also to congratulate you on your upcoming inclusion to the Road to Contenders 5 Card.

I hope training has been going well in the build-up to your scheduled return to the cage.

The fans of London have the opportunity to witness you in action for the first time on this Saturday, to give the readers some insight into what to expect, in your own words, what are your intentions for the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre?

“The fans can expect a new and improved fighter, I’ve been focusing on my footwork so it will stand out on fight night.”

Your amateur, as well as your professional career, has taken you to many great UK organisations. Almighty Fighting Championship, WCMMA and Shock and Awe just to name a few. It was only a matter of time before the fans of the Norwich-based organisation got to witness your prolific display of technicality.

As previously stated, UK fans have had the privilege of witnessing you in action since starting out on your amateur journey back in 2017. My personal favourite being your meeting with Kamil Uchman at WCMMA 35 before making the jump to the professional circuit.

Looking back on your explosive career so far, will there be a collision in the lion’s den that will always stand out for you?

“My pro debut against Stelios Theocharous will always stand out as a great fight for me, as I was facing a good fighter and I was making the switch from amateur to professional.”

Your next outing has fireworks written all over it, taking on ‘The Persian Powerhouse’ Pasha Rafiei in the Co-Main event of the evening.

What do you make of Pasha in the build-up to your scheduled meeting, have you managed to catch him in action?

“Weirdly enough, I was at Pasha’s last fight and I think he is as tough as they come, with skills in all areas. I’m in for a solid test I believe and I’m very excited for this matchup.”

Road to Contenders 5 will play host to some of the most exciting amateurs and explosive professionals such as yourself at what’s set to be a sold-out Crystal Palace National Sports Centre no doubt.

Other than your inclusion on the night are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?

“My friend Stefano Catocoli will be fighting in the main event, so I can’t wait to finish my fight and see if I can catch his bout.”

I wish you all the best on the night Aaron and I look forward to witnessing you out there.

Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?

“The fans can expect pingseason to continue and a fantastic fight. I’d like to give a shout-out to all my teammates at Team crossface for helping me prepare.”
