Across The Pond Profile: Jakori Savage

Mixed Martial Arts has had its fair share of Heavyweight giants throughout the years, with several major names of note going on to make it to the top of the summit. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a towering Texas oak ripping through the professional MMA rankings with the force of a bayou hurricane. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2022 and representing Mcsweeney Martial Arts, Jakori Savage owns a  2-1 professional record through three pro bouts comprised of one knockout and one submission. He has spent his entire tenure as a pro-MMA fighter with Legacy Fighting Alliance thus far. Savage is 2-0 under the LFA banner, with two finishes under his belt for the promotion. Both of Savage’s finishes during his time in the professional ranks have within the opening round, with times of three minutes and 53 seconds and two minutes and 42 seconds respectively. 100 percent of Savage’s wins over the course of his pro career have come within five minutes or fewer. He has yet to reach the scorecards at any stage during his pro career so far, with a finishing rate of 100 percent in two appearances with Legacy Fighting Alliance to show for it. Savage has also fought for Peak Fighting.

In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 121, he took on Moustapha Senghor and defeated him via TKO in round one to earn his first knockout win as a professional. Then in his next appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 134, Savage submitted Taylor Escamilla in the first round. The win earned Savage the first submission victory of his professional career. He also picked up back-to back victories under the LFA banner in the process along with finish number two to begin his career in the pro ranks. With size and natural athleticism coupled with youth in his corner, Savage is a tiger that is quickly approaching category five status!
