Across The Pond Profile: Malik Lewis

Even the lesser-known promotions will have hidden gems that end up being transformed into the golden stars of the future. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a stallion of wrath pounding the plains with the force of a red river tornado. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2020 and representing Genisis Jiu-Jitsu, Malik Lewis owns an undefeated 5-0 record comprised of four knockouts and one submission. Lewis has fought for several promotions over the course of his career as a pro-MMA fighter including Peak Fighting and Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has finished all five of his victories during his time in the professional ranks. Lewis has yet to reach the scorecards at any point during his pro career thus far. 100 precent of his finishes over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have come inside the distance, with three-first round finishes under his belt to go along with two second-round finishes to show for it.

In his MMA debut at LFA 83, he faced David Luna and went on to defeat him via TKO in the second round. Lewis knocked out Shadoe Himle in round one at Rage in the cage OKC 77 the end. Then at Peak Fighting 15, he defeated Tyler Smith via knockout in the first round. Lewis knocked out Geovani Cruz Cordeiro in round one at Peak Fighting 17.

In the main event of Peak Fighting 19, he submitted Marcos Vinicius Dos Santos Da Silva in the second round via triangle choke. The win earned Lewis the first submission victory of his professional career. He also picked up his fifth finish in a row to begin his pro career in the process. If you happen to be in the path of this lone star barnstormer, you will get sucked into a vortex of nature from which you might never return!
