Following his emphatic title-winning victory in BRAVE Combat Federation, Poland’s Marcin Bandel was warmly embraced by his people during a recent football match back home. Bandel attended his favorite team, LKS Lodz’ match against Arka Gdynia this past weekend in Lodz and was warmly welcomed by thousands of fans in the stadium alongside his shiny new BRAVE CF world title belt.
During halftime, the man known as “Bomba” was introduced to the boisterous crowd who celebrated the new BRAVE CF Super Welterweight champion and his belt after he shocked the mixed martial arts world. Marcin headlined BRAVE CF 63 in the Kingdom of Bahrain and submitted superstar and heavy favorite Ismail Naurdiev via armbar in the first round to capture the elusive title.
Bandel – short of words due to Naurdiev breaking his jaw in the fight – was grateful to be back home and to proudly represent Poland in the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world.
“I can’t talk too much following the surgery I had on my jaw, but I will say this, a big thank you to all of you for supporting me,” said Bandel before triggering the entire Wladyslaw Krol Municipal Stadium to erupt as fans chanted “Marcin Bandel, Marcin Bandel”.
“I am really proud to stand before you as a Polish BRAVE CF champion and I am really happy to share this with you all,” he added.
Polish l Liga football’s LKS Lodz ended up beating Arka Gdynia 3-1 yesterday adding to the celebrations of Bandel’s victory. For more details on BRAVE CF and the upcoming events, visit www.bravecf.com
