Veterans of the fight game will be going head-to-head as well as up and coming fighters all battling out to reign supreme! With belts and pride on the line, this is a date you want to mark down in your calendar as the show will entertain you from start to finish.
Battle Arena Flyweight Title fight Maiju Suotama (8-7-0) Vs Alice Ardelean (7-5-0)
This fight is for the Battle Arena Flyweight title and is the main event of the evening as two veterans of women’s MMA battle it out to claim the throne at the top of the flyweight rankings. With both fighters having fought the crème de la crème of fighters, and both fighting UFC champions, they have paid their dues in this sport and will go down as pioneers of European women’s MMA. Maiju “Mountain Momma” Suotama has fought for some of the best promotions in the world and faced some of the toughest opponents including Miesha Tate (Former UFC Bantamweight Champion) back in 2010 in Strikeforce, and more recently Shanna Young (who is now in the UFC) in Invicta FC. Suotama will be looking to get a win in this fight to help break her recent five fight loss streak, looking to build momentum to prove that she is still the world class competitor she was when she fought Miesha Tate. Her opponent Alice Ardelean is also in her own respect a veteran of women’s MMA as she has fought 2x UFC Bantamweight Champion Weili Zhang back in 2016 and proved she has what it takes to go toe to toe with world class fighters. Ardelean is currently riding a strong five fight win streak and would be elated if she could get a win over a pioneer of European women’s MMA. She stated – “This will be my toughest opponent in my career. Fighting Maiju Suotama will bring out the best in me at Battle Arena.” This fight has fight of the night written all over it as two world class fighters will go head-to-head to claim dominance over the Battle Arena Featherweight Division, to sit on top and conquer for as long as they can.
Atomweight Bout Haley Valentine (2-0-0) vs Lisa Lingvall (Debut).
This fight takes place in the Atomweight division and is the co-main event as two of Europe’s hottest prospects clash in a battle for supremacy. Haley Valentine is currently on a two-fight win streak over two tough opponents, proving she has what it takes to compete at the top level as she finds herself ranked #10 in the UK rankings. Valentine looks to extend her win streak with a big finish by KO/TKO, stating – “This will be an early valentine’s day win!” Lisa Lingvall has other ideas as she will be looking to carry on her winning ways from her amateur career over into her professional career. A victory over a top ranked fighter would solidify her in the rankings and would certainly be the perfect start to her professional career. However, Lingvall’s last fight was in 2019 so there could be an element of ring rust. She was meant to fight in 2021 but the fight was cancelled so this is her time to shake off the ring rust and get the victory over a top ten ranked talent. What has been decided though is that this fight is going to be an epic fight to watch, with both fighters looking to go for the finish. This will be a barn burner.
Amateur Featherweight British Title fight Ahsan Ahmed (6-2-0) Vs Brad Eston (4-1-0)
This fight is for the amateur Featherweight British Title as two future stars battle it out to be known as the best featherweight in Britain. Ahsan Ahmed (Who is a teammate of Haley Valentine) will be looking to get back into the win column with a big win to claim the British title. He started his career with a 4-fight win streak before experiencing his first loss, and then built a two-fight win streak before losing on decision in a very competitive fight. He is no stranger to win streaks and shows he can improve after every fight by learning from his mistakes. Ahmed intends to not let this fight go into the hands of the judges as he wants a stoppage win to claim the throne of the best featherweight in Britain. Brad Eston is currently riding a two-fight win streak with a 100% finishing rate, 75% coming from submissions. Eston is a very dangerous fighter with a solid ground game and very explosive striking. He will be looking to keep his 100% finishing rate while he claims the British title to send a message to any other featherweights.
Lightweight David Khalsa (3-6-0) Vs Charlie Guest (0-1-0)
This fight is in the Lightweight division that will be a battle for supremacy, a veteran of British MMA facing a rising prospect. David “Demolition man” Khalsa has fought in some of the best promotions in the world like Bellator and BAMMA against world class opponents. Khalsa will be looking to carry on his win streak by teaching the rising prospect a lesson in MMA. He will be looking to school him and get a big victory to show all the younger fighters that he’s not an easy fight, but in fact a nightmare for them. Charlie Guest will be looking to get his professional career to winning ways as he was unsuccessful in his debut, showing heart and determination he didn’t get the vote from the judges and lost on the scorecards. But with a new philosophy, Guest will not be looking to go to the scorecards but to instead finish his opponent so that he can control the outcomes of his fights. In doing so, he will also get a victory over a veteran of the game, solidifying him as a hot prospect in the UK.
