BRAVE Combat Federation will have a huge title fight to headline its first-ever trip to Israel. On March 9, in Tel-Aviv, Featherweight world champion Roman Bogatov will defend his crown against top contender Nemat Abdrashitov in the main event of BRAVE CF 70.
Russia’s own Bogatov has had a perfect start to his career, winning his first two bouts against Nurzhan Akishev and Abdulmutalip Gairbekov to earn a shot at the then-vacant Featherweight world title. At BRAVE CF 64, he put on a dogged performance to edge Tae Kyun Kim and become only the third 145-pound world champion in BRAVE Combat Federation history.
Nemat Abdrashitov will look to dethrone Bogatov in his first world title shot. The Kyrgyz standout has three wins in as many BRAVE CF outings, and all by KO’s or TKO’s – he first burst onto the scene with a shocking third-round KO of Anzor Abdulkhozhaev. He was on the verge of losing as Anzor had a ninja choke locked in late in the fight. Nemat was able to defend it properly and knocked Abdulkhozhaev out seconds later.
Since then, he earned two further huge wins, culminating with a KO of The Year nominee against Marcus Vinicius Costa at BRAVE CF 63, which was enough for Abdrashitov to put himself as the top contender at 145-pounds.
BRAVE CF 70 will be held in Tel-Aviv on March 9, and Israel will become the 29th nation to host a BRAVE Combat Federation, as the organization will once again be the most-traveled promotion in MMA, as no other has gone to 29 countries.
Other top matchups have also been announced for BRAVE CF’s first trip to Israel, including former champion Lucas Mineiro returning against arch-rival Marcel Grabinski, and Jose Torres facing Nkosi Ndebele in a possible top contender matchup in the Bantamweight division.
