Having a smaller sample size of talent will often aid a promotion in finding the correct scale of balance in terms of the divisional gap. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Maori boa putting the c in constriction with her ground canvas in PFL MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2022 and representing American Top Team, Michelle Montague holds an undefeated 3-0 record with all three of her victories as a professional MMA fighter coming via submission. Montague is 2-0 under the PFL MMA banner with two finishes under her belt in two appearances with the promotion. 100 percent of Montague’s wins have come inside the distance during her time in the professional ranks with a three for three finishing rate to show for it. Montague has earned a finish in all three of her appearances as a professional mixed martial artist thus far. She has a single first-round finish under her belt in addition to one second-round finish and one third-round finish.
In her MMA debut at PFL Challenger Series 3, she faced Oliva Parker and went on to tap her out via rear-naked choke in round one. Montague also submitted Danielle Wynn in the third round via rear-naked choke at Ikon Fighting Federation 5. Then in the opening bout in the second week as part of the Challenger Series season two, she tapped out Shaquita Woods via rear-naked choke in the second round. The victory earned Montague the third submission win of her professional career. She also picked up win number two under the PFL MMA banner in the process. With her specialty being the ground game, leaving any limb exposed is an invitation to victory for this serpentine grappler!
