BRAVE Combat Federation Heavyweight Shamil Gaziev drew a lot of inspiration from his recent training session with Heavyweight star Ciryl Gane, and will look to use that to earn the biggest win of his professional career. Shamil is scheduled to take on Darko Stosic in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 68, which goes down in Belgrade, Serbia, on February 18, as the headliner of the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week, the biggest combat sports festival in European History.

Bahrain’s Gaziev helped the Frenchman prepare for his last fight against Australia’s Tai Tuivasa, and was encouraged by the training sessions he had with ‘’Bon Gamin’’, explaining to his head coach Eldar Eldarov, that he ‘’finally felt like he belonged’’ within the elite of the Heavyweight division worldwide.

“I believe that the moment Shamil (Gaziev) got his confidence was not after his various professional victories and knockouts. It happened when he went to France to do a camp with Ciryl (Gane),” says BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov. “Shamil sparred with him and worked with him in all aspects. Let’s not forget that Ciryl is one of the top two, top three, Heavyweights in the world today. He is very technical, very dangerous. An elite Heavyweight,” adds Eldarov.

When Gaziev returned home, he was over the moon about how he fared against one of the best. “When he returned from France, he said ‘Eldar, I believe I can fight on the highest level. I worked with Ciryl Gane. While I know what I need to work more on … I feel like I am ready for any top Heavyweight in the world.’’

Gaziev will face another popular and world-class Heavyweight in the shape of Serbia’s Darko Stosic in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 69, which goes down in Belgrade, Serbia, on February 18. Gaziev is unbeaten since turning professional and looks to go 2-0 in BRAVE Combat Federation following a successful debut at BRAVE CF 65, when he earned a nomination for BRAVE CF KO of The Year. Meanwhile Stosic makes his promotional debut and will step into the BRAVE CF cage with lots of hype around him after fighting in various well-known promotions, and a very impressive record of 17 wins and only 5 defeats.

BRAVE CF 69 is headlined by a unification title bout in the Lightweight division as interim champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek takes on top contender Kamil Magomedov. Athletes from 12 nations are expected to face off in a historic event capping off a ground-breaking week for mixed martial arts in Europe.
