Reality TV star, Jake Quickenden, is set to make professional MMA debut with OKTAGON MMA.

Jake Quickenden is one of the biggest reality TV stars that the UK has ever seen having appeared on three of the most popular programmes in the region. He first rose to fame when he faced ‘The X Factor’ judges before conquering his fears in the jungle, finishing as the runner-up in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’. In 2018, Quickenden won ‘Dancing on Ice’ but the mental health advocate is now preparing for his biggest challenge yet by participating in OKTAGON MMA’s ground-breaking reality TV series ‘Stage to the Cage’.

We are continuing our international expansion this year and will be heading to the UK for the very first time. A special project like no other, ‘Stage to the Cage’, is just one part of OKTAGON MMA’s ambitious plans for the territory and will see two top celebrities sacrifice everything to compete in MMA.

Last December, we revealed that one of the UK and Ireland’s top comedians, Paul Smith, would participate in the project. This will be unlike any other celebrity fight that has taken place because both men will train for ten whole months before making their MMA debuts. Their journeys will also be tracked in a reality TV series which will give the public an insight into the hardships and glory of the sport while exposing it to a wider audience.

‘Stage to the Cage’ will reach it’s climax later this year when Quickenden and Smith fight each other in OKTAGON MMA’s first ever live event in England. The biggest arena in the UK – AO Arena, Manchester – will host this spectacular show that will lay the foundations for our expansion into the market.
