Since its groundbreaking debut last year, the PFL MMA Challenger Series has been the seed of many positive things for the promotion in terms of market expansion to Europe. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2021 and representing GB Top Team, Simeon Powell holds an undefeated 7-0 record comprised of four knockouts, two submissions and one decision. He has finished six out of his seven victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. Powell is 3-0 under the PFL MMA banner, with two finishes under his belt in three appearances with the organization. He has also fought for Contenders and Caged Steel in addition to Almighty Fighting Championship and Fightstar Championship. The majority of Powell’s fights during his time in the professional ranks have been inside two rounds. Powell has only gone to the scorecards once during his pro career, sweeping them clean across the board in that instance.
In his MMA debut at Caged Steel 26, he submitted Robbie Kennedy via rear-naked choke in the first round. Powell knocked out Ben Reeve in round one at Contenders 31. He tapped out Mustapha Mohammed via rear-naked choke in round one at Almighty Fighting Championship 20. Powell knocked out Matthew Nicholson in the first round at Fightstar Championship 20. Then at PFL MMA Challenger Series 8, he defeated Tobias Baker via unanimous decision to earn his first and only decision win as a professional so far. Powell knocked out Clinton Williams in round three at PFL 1. He defeated Joao Paulo Fagundes via technical knockout in the second round at PFL London. The victory earned Powell the fourth knockout win of his professional career in addition to securing win number three under the PFL MMA banner. At 7-0, Powell is looking to adorn himself in royal garb as England’s next light heavyweight kingmaker!
