MMA UK attends Bellator 293 press conference

Bellator continues the pure unadulterated organised violence tomorrow night in California for the absolutely stacked Bellator 293: Golm vs James card.

Many historic moments have befallen ‘The Golden State’ when Scott Coker’s Bellator rolls into town, and tomorrow night’s violent festivities will be no different.

A press conference was held yesterday with some of the warriors set to take the walk to the cage, and MMAUK News was invited to grab some questions as the clock ticks towards Bellator 293.

We got to speak with Luke Trainer, Aaron Jeffrey and the undefeated Archie Colgan.

1st up, I got a question in with Luke Trainer.

Aaron East MMAUK News: hey Luke, I hope you’re doing well in the build-up to Friday man?

Luke Trainer: what’s happening brother, yeah doing well.

Aaron East MMAUK News: great to hear mate, I have a double question for you. How regularly would you like to be fighting this year, and are there any cards in particular you have your eye on?

Luke Trainer: I want 4, I want 4 fights. I’ve kept it secret from my Mrs that Bellator has a show coming up in Hawaii. She’s gonna be very upset when she sees that, I think that’s gonna be too short notice to take, I think it’s April. But I want 3 or 4 fights, I wanna really male some money this year, I got some big plans outside of MMA, and I wanna start that rolling this year but I need the funds behind me. Other than that, I wanna be active, man. I think now that Bellator is fully rolling and they seem to be wanting to be rolling with me, let’s go. Whether it’s in the states, whether it’s in Italy or the North Pole I don’t care, just get me fighting. Let’s make some money and take some scalps, man, I’m ready to go.

Aaron East MMAUK News: I look forward to your future announcements man, all the best for Friday.

Next up, I grabbed a question with Aaron Jeffery.

Aaron East MMAUK News: Success on friday will make it a hatrick of victories under the bellator banner, where do you see yourself on the roster in the next year?

Aaron Jeffrey: Well I got a big contract with Bellator, I got 6 more fights to fight out. So I plan to be with them long term and keep winning fights. Let’s say this time next year I’ll be the Bellator Middleweight champ.

Aaron East MMAUK News: thank you for taking my question Aaron, all the best for Friday and I look forward to catching you out there again.

Last but not least, I grabbed a question with Archie Colgan

Aaron East MMAUK News: Are you approaching this bout with Justin differently seeing as one of your 0’s have to go?

Archie Colgan: No. I think it’s cool that you get to see 2 hungry prospects go at each other, I don’t think you get to see that all too often, until people are like 15-0. But in our position I don’t think you get to see that all too often, so I’m happy for that. If the question implies if there’s any pressure or something like that then Nah, this is just another fight. I’m gonna step out there, and I’m gonna take his 0.

Aaron East MMAUK News: I appreciate you taking my question mate, all the best for Friday.
