Across The Pond profile Unified MMA fighter Gary Konkol

In the fight game, prospective fighters on the upswing will sometimes need to travel to the other side of the world to introduce themselves to the masses. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpentine submission artist ready to sink his frozen fangs into the opposition as Unified MMA’S latest north American signee. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2019 and representing Nova Gyms, Gary Konkol holds a 5-3 record in eight bouts comprised of four submissions and one knockout. Konkol has fought for several promotions over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance, Chosen Few Fighting Championship and Pure Fighting Championships He has finished all five of his victories during his time in the professional ranks with 100 percent of those wins coming inside the distance. Konkol has five finishes under his belt in eight professional appearances thus far.

In his MMA debut at Pure Fighting Championships 16, he faced Josh Wiseman and submitted him in the first round via triangle choke. Konkol also tapped out Devon Seitz via armbar in round three at Chosen Few Fighting Championships 19. Then at NAFC The Return, he defeated Ryan Mendez via technical knockout in the second round to earn his first and only knockout win as a professional so far. Konkol tapped out Johnnie Roades via armbar in the first round at Pure Fighting Championships 22.

In his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance on the preliminary card of LFA 142, he submitted Sam Hernandez in the second round via arm-triangle choke. The win earned Konkol the fourth submission victory of his professional career. He also picked up win number one under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner in the process.
