Making a name for yourself in professional mixed martial arts can be smooth sledding once the right team turns up and understands the growing pains that even the best can experience when they begin the journey. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a serpentine rail splitter ready to lumberjack the tallest trees in the forest and dish out some backcountry beatdowns. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2021 and representing Rothwell MMA under head coach and UFC veteran Ben Rothwell, Cody Linne holds a 5-1 record in six bouts comprised of four submissions and one decision. All four of Linne’s finishes during his time in the professional ranks have been inside the opening round. Linne has fought for several organizations over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance. He has four first-round finishes under his belt through six professional appearances thus far with all of those tapouts coming in the space of five minutes or less.

In his MMA debut at XFC Young Guns 1, he submitted Maika Samson in round one. Linne also tapped out Orlando Ortega in the first round via armbar at XFC Young Guns 2. He submitted Dan Sokolowski in round one via guillotine choke at Pure Fighting Championship 24 to earn his third submission win as a professional. Then in his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance on the preliminary of LFA 145, Linne defeated Payton Brezinski via unanimous decision to secure his first and only decision win as a professional along with his first victory under the LFA banner.

In the main event of WXCF 9, he tapped out Paul Burgin in the first round via rear-naked choke. The victory earned Linne the fourth submission win of his professional career. At 22 years old, Linne’s submissions can freeze opponents in an eternal ice locker so hug your limbs tight!
