Nunes submitted Anthony Garrett in round one via arm-triangle choke at CFFC 103. In the main event of PFL MMA Challenger Series week six he tapped out UFC veteran Bevon Lewis via arm-triangle choke in the second round.

At PFL 7, Nunes submitted Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series season five alumni Dylan Potter in round one via arm-triangle choke. The victory Nunes the seventh submission win of his professional career in addition to back-to-back wins with PFL MMA.
