The number one 175-pounder in MMA, Bandel is set to take on undefeated Magomedov in a clash of epic proportions for the return of Kombat Kingdom.
BRAVE Combat Federation’s 71st instalment has a huge main event. The fastest-growing MMA organisation on the planet returns on June 19 to its home in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with BRAVE CF 71. The show will be headlined by Super Welterweight world champion Marcin Bandel, as he makes the first defense of his 175-pound title against undefeated Russian star Kamal Magomedov.
Marcin ‘’Bomba’’ Bandel shocked the world in his last outing, as he knocked down heavy favourite Ismail Naurdiev and then submitted ‘’The Austrian Wonderboy’’ in the main event of BRAVE CF 63 to capture the vacant Super Welterweight crown.
Now the number one 175-pounder in mixed martial arts defends his title against Kamal Magomedov, who has yet to taste defeat in his professional career, and will look to add the BRAVE CF world title to his extensive list of accomplishments.
Magomedov won the Titan FC title in America, and is known for his finishing instincts – nine out of his 10 fights (and wins) have ended with his hands raised after a finish – Kamal has four wins by KO/TKO and six by submission, and has only been out of the first round once, when he beat Olli Santalahti in the third round also back at BRAVE CF 63.
‘’Bomba’’ is also a proven finisher and will look to use his experience in his favor. With 21 career wins, Bandel, a jiu-jitsu black belt under ADCC Open-Weight champion Robert Drysdale, has 19 submissions to his name, including two out of three wins under BRAVE CF – the other fight being a decision win over former Brazilian MMA champion Luis Felipe Dias.
BRAVE CF 71 is the first of two events taking place in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the month of June, as the most global MMA organisation on the planet returns home before going back on the road with events set to be confirmed in the coming weeks around the globe.
