Across The Pond Profile: Bellator MMA fighter Kenny Mokhonoana

Dublin is one of those European markets that doesn’t disappoint regardless of what promotion touches down in the Emerald Isle. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an adder of golden stone whose keen detection when it comes to the submission has Bellator MMA turning an envious shade of green. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2021 and representing C Mac, Kenny Mokhonoana holds an undefeated 5-0 record comprised of four submissions and one knockout. Mokhonoana is 2-0 under the Bellator MMA banner with two finishes under his belt in two appearances with the organization. He has finished 100 percent of his wins with all five of those victories coming inside the distance. Mokhonoana has yet to reach the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter thus far. He fought for various promotions including UAE Warriors, Clan Wars and Cage Conflict prior to debuting with Bellator MMA at Bellator 285 in September 2022.

In his MMA debut at Clan Wars 40 elite series 2, he tapped out Adam Shelley in the second round. Mokhonoana submitted Matevi Zara via rear-naked choke in round one at Cage Conflict 4 the resurrection. Then at UAE Warriors 27 Africa 2, he tapped out Alphonse Viny Bessala in the first round via triangle choke. Mokhonoana submitted Alex Bodnar via guillotine choke in round one in his promotional debut with Bellator MMA at Bellator 285 to earn his fourth submission win as a professional.

For his second outing with Bellator MMA on the preliminary card of Bellator 291, he defeated Craig Mcintosh via technical knockout in the first round. The win earned Mokhonoana the first and only knockout victory of his professional career in addition to back-to-back victories with Bellator MMA. He also extended his unbeaten streak to five to begin his pro career in the process. Mokhonoana is a prospect whose constant pressure can cancel out the brightest of diamonds!
