An incredible opportunity for a handful of Latin American athletes on August 12 in Bogota, Colombia.
BRAVE Combat Federation – in association with the Latin Fighter Championship – will see some of the best international competitors showcase their talents as they fight for honors and bragging rights at BRAVE CF 73 in Bogota, Colombia, on August 12. The event will also be an incredible opportunity for a handful of Colombian athletes who will take on rivals from other areas of Latin America on the LFC undercard.
Here are the four LFC18 prelim card fights fans can look forward to:
In the opening fight, Colombia’s Gabriel Bula takes on Ecuador’s Diego Morillo in a Lightweight bout. Bula returns to action after being out for almost three years, and the submission specialist will aim to get back to winning ways again after suffering his first loss in six fights at BRAVE CF 26.
Morillo will be equally motivated to get back in the saddle and record his first win for 2023 after recording a unanimous decision loss to Roger Garcia in March.
In the second bout of the prelim card, Peru’s Edgar Torres will try to make his mentor Jose Torres proud when he faces the talented Colombian striker Carlos Toro in a Flyweight fight.
The third prelim bout is the highlight of the LFC card as former BRAVE CF fighters Maurício Otalora (Colombia) and Carlos Belloso (El Salvador) square off in a Welterweight bout. Otalora is one of Colombia’s most experienced fighters, with 20 wins in 32 fights, including eight finishes and six knockouts. He will meet his former BRAVE CF colleague, who has finished all his fights via stoppage, including seven submissions. Belloso is riding a two-fight win streak, and the El Salvadorian aims to upset the Colombian fans by overcoming their hometown hero.
In the final prelim card bout, Colombia’s Andres Gómez and Jefferson Gomez will go to war in the only Featherweight fight. These two athletes are new to the big leagues, with Andres making his pro debut while Jefferson steps into a professional cage for the second time. They have, however, sufficient experience in the amateur ranks, as Andres has recorded five wins and only one loss, while Jefferson has seven wins in eleven amateur fights.
While both stars have a Kickboxing background, they are equally well-versed in the grappling and wrestling department, with a handful of submission wins.
BRAVE CF 73 is headlined by Jose Torres and Nkosi Ndebele, who will compete for the BRAVE CF Bantamweight title fight. The show will conclude the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week, running from August 10 – August 13.
