MMA has had its fair share of American heroes throughout the sport’s historic existence from Rampage Jackson to Chuck Lidell and Rich Franklin. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a patriotic crusader of the cross giving opponents a red white, and blue thrashing as Oklahoma’s latest stars and bars sensation at Welterweight in his quest to deliver American pride for fallen brothers in war and peacetime. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2023 and representing Strike Martial Arts Academy, Justin Budd owns a 1-0 record with his only victory during his time in the professional ranks coming via knockout. The one and only finish during Budd’s pro career has come inside the opening round with a time of three minutes and five seconds. Budd has never gone to the scorecards at any point over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter with a 100 percent finish rate to show for it. He has a single first round finish under his belt in his lone appearance as a professional mixed martial artist so far. Budd is 1-0 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner with one finish in his only outing with the promotion thus far.
In his professional MMA debut and promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance on the preliminary card of LFA 152, he faced Caleb Jensen and went on to knock him out in the first round. The win earned Budd the first knockout victory of his professional career in addition to his first finish. He also picked up victory number one under the LFA banner in the process.
