Coming out with your hand raised in victory is even better when a fighter is able to go into the opponent’s backyard and capture momentum from the hometown hero. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a stallion of stormy mercy whose keenness in the eye of adversity is turning out to be a fox amongst chickens at strawweight for Invicta Fighting Championships.

A professional mixed martial artist since September 2018 and representing 10th Planet El Paso, Andrea Amaro holds a 4-2 record in six bouts comprised of two decisions, one submission and one knockout. Amaro fought for Combate Global prior to debuting with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 54 in October 2023. She is 1-0 under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner with a single finish for the organization. Amaro has finished two out of her four wins overall with both of those finishes coming within the opening round. She has gone to the scorecards twice over the course of her career as a professional MMA fighter. Amaro has two first-round finishes under her belt through six appearances during her career as a professional mixed martial artist.

In her MMA debut, she faced Valarie Soto and went on to defeat her via a split decision. Amaro defeated Carolynn Cordoba via a technical knockout in round one at Combate Global. She defeated Claudia Diaz via unanimous decision.

Then in her promotional debut with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 54 as part of the promotion’s maiden voyage to the east coast, Amaro submitted Hillarie Rose in the first round via rear-naked choke. The win secured Amaro the first submission victory of her professional career in addition to her first finish under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner in the process. When this prospect full of Texas grit places her spurs of silver in the saddle, foes are liable to buck and bolt!
