Across The Pond Profile: Ben Petches-Kelly

Certain fighters manage to perform better in the comforts of their own backyard than on the road in the environment of the enemy. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a Liverpool lancer shark ready to circle the waters as the latest Next Generation Liverpool fighter to plunge into the professional pool at welterweight. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2021 and representing Next Generation Liverpool, Ben Petches-Kelly owns a 1-1 record with the only victory of his professional career coming via technical knockout thus far. He has fought for Cage Warriors and Almighty Fighting Championship. Kelly has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. He has a single first-round finish in two professional appearances under his belt with a time of two minutes and 54 seconds. Kelly has spent his entire career as a professional mixed martial artist in the United Kingdom. He fought for Cage Warriors as an amateur prior to making his promotional debut with them at Cage Warriors 160 in September 2023. He has finished his lone win during his career in the professional MMA ranks. His one and only finish as a professional has come inside the opening round in the space of fewer than five minutes.

In his professional MMA debut at Almighty Fighting Championship 19, he faced Fedrico Perri and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. The win secured Kelly the first knockout victory of his professional career in addition to his first finish. He also picked up his first and only victory as a professional in the process. Kelly’s razor-sharp finishes can increase the stench of defeat on any opponent’s breath!
