Being the apple of your nation’s eye carries with it a great responsibility to do to the best of your ability in front of the hometown faithful or in dangerous environments where you become the lone wolf sent to dispatch the hometown hero. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a wrecking ball of Welsh thunder ready to go bombs away on April 20 at Cage Warriors 171 where pride is not the only thing placed at the head of the lightweight lottery. A professional mixed martial artist since December 2021 and representing Blackledge MMA, Ieuan Davies owns a 4-0 record comprised of three submissions and one knockout. Davies has fought for Cage Warriors and Full Contact Contender. He has a 100 percent finish rate and is 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner with two finishes in two appearances with the promotion under his belt to show for it. Davies has never gone to the scorecards at any juncture in time over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter. All four of his victories during his professional career have come inside the opening round.
In his MMA debut at Full Contact Contender 27, he submitted Liam Delsol in round one via rear-naked choke. Davies defeated Simeon Otley via technical knockout in the first round at Full Contact Contender 28. Then in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors on the preliminary card of Cage Warriors 152, he submitted Dec Dean via guillotine choke in round one. Davies submitted Leon Hill in the first round on the main card of Cage Warriors 161. The win scored Davies the third submission victory of his professional career along with his fourth win overall. He also secured back-to back wins under the Cage Warriors banner in the process.
For his third outing with Cage Warriors on April 20 at Cage Warriors 171, he will face Tommy Hawthorn in a lightweight affair. Good luck Ieuan!
