UFC CEO Dana White revealed the marquee matchup, highlighting Whittaker and Chimaev’s clash in a five-round main event. Notably, the victor of this pivotal showdown will secure a shot at championship glory. Furthermore, White disclosed that the main card action will be broadcast live on ABC, expanding the event’s reach to a broader audience.

Whittaker, ranked No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie middleweight rankings, aims to build on his recent triumph over Paulo Costa, having secured a unanimous decision victory in February.
