UFC 300: Pereira vs Hill provided fight fans across the globe with a card for the history books, the monumental event took place this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Praised as the “Super Bowl of Mixed Martial Arts”, UFC 300 was the first UFC card to be opened by two former champs, as well as featuring the first ever two-time Olympic gold medalist to compete in the organisation. Out of the 13 fights, 8 ended in a finish, potentially due to the newly introduced $300,000 fight night bonuses, the highest amount paid by the promotion.

Aftermath
- Alex Periera retains his Light Heavyweight title after his knockout win over Jamahal Hill in the first round. He hinted in his post-fight interview a move to heavyweight may be on the cards.
- Zhang Weili retains her strawweight title after her five-round war with Yan Xiaonan. The fight took an unexpected turn when Yan was choked unconscious in the last seconds of the first round. The fight was not stopped and she was able to return to her corner and continue.
- The BMF belt has a new owner after Max Holloway knocked out Justin Gaethje in spectacular fashion during their bonus-worthy brawl in the centre of the octagon.
