Across The Pond Profile: Cameron Chamberlain of SBG Rochdale

For many professional athletes, the sporting life and all the trappings that accompany it begin at a young age once they learn the ins and outs of their chosen craft. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a youthful kingmaker whose vigor in the heat of combat has him poised to leap into the mainstream as an ascending star in UK MMA circles. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2023 and representing SBG Rochdale under the guidance of UK MMA veteran and head coach Martin Stapleton, Cameron Chamberlain holds a 2-1 record comprised of one submission and one decision. He has fought for several organizations during his professional career including Golden Ticket Fight Promotions, Almighty Fighting Championship and Budo Fighting Championships. The only finish over the course of Chamberlain’s career as a professional MMA fighter has come within the opening round. His lone decision victory as a professional mixed martial artist his resulted in a unanimous verdict. Chamberlain has a single first-round finish under his through his first three professional appearances to show for it. He has spent his entire professional tenure in the United Kingdom. Chamberlain also fought for numerous promotions as an amateur including Budo Fighting Championships, Full Contact Contender and Almighty Fighting Championship prior to turning professional. He has finished one out of his two wins overall during his professional career.

In his MMA debut at Budo Fighting Championships 57, he submitted Adam Gomez via rear-naked choke in the first round to secure his first submission win as a professional alongside his only finish thus far.  Then at Almighty Fighting Championship 34, Chamberlain defeated Shabir Ahmed-Safi via unanimous decision. The win earned Chamberlain the first decision victory of his professional career in addition to his second professional win overall.
