An Amateur mixed martial artist since October 2021 and representing GB Top Team, Jacob Gifford owns a 5-1 Amateur record comprised of three submissions, one knockout and one decision. He has spent his whole career as an Amateur MMA fighter with Cage Warriors Academy Southeast. All of Gifford’s finishes over the course of his Amateur career have been inside of two rounds. He has spent his entire Amateur career in the United Kingdom. Gifford’s only decision victory during his Amateur career has come via a unanimous verdict. He has finished four out of his five wins during his career as an Amateur mixed martial artist.
In his Amateur MMA debut at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 26, he submitted Cornel Ionut Popa via armbar in the second round. Gifford also tapped out Alfie Hak in round one via rear-naked choke at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 27. Then at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 31, he knocked out Alessandro De Angelis in the first round to score his first and only knockout win as an Amateur. Gifford submitted Addis Drummond via armbar in round one at Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 34 to secure his third submission victory as an Amateur.
At Cage Warriors Academy Southeast 35, he defeated Alex Andrews via unanimous decision. The win earned Gifford the first decision victory of his Amateur career. He also picked up his fifth win overall as an Amateur in the process. Gifford’s sharpness for the ground could undoubtedly see him locking in a deal of his very own once he enters Europe’s leading professional pool!
