When you are a fighter just beginning to find your way in the professional MMA world, having plenty of options to work with allows you to make the most out of every decision that yields positive gains in a fighter’s journey from that point forward. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a lioness of queenly decorum ready to give Invicta Fighting Championships a royal coronation crowning in her maiden professional voyage at Invicta FC 56 on August 9 from the Stockyards Event Center in the mile-high city on Youtube and CBS Sports Network in the promotion’s second event of 2024. An Amateur mixed martial artist since June 2022 and representing Mercenary Combat Academy, Ali Pellegrini holds a 2-0 record of one knockout and one decision. She has a single second-round finish during her Amateur career with a time of two minutes and 58 seconds. Pellegrini has gone to the scorecards once throughout her career as an Amateur MMA fighter sweeping them clean across the board on that occasion. Her only decision victory during her career as an Amateur mixed martial artist has come via a unanimous verdict. Pellegrini has spent her entire Amateur career in the Pacific Northwest.
In her Amateur MMA debut, she faced Kay Battle and defeated her via unanimous decision to secure her first and only decision win as an Amateur. Then at Mountain Force 38, Pellegrini defeated Virginia Rodriguez via technical knockout in the second round. The win earned Pellegrini the first knockout victory and finish of her Amateur career along with back-to-back victories to start her Amateur career.
In her professional MMA debut with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 56 on August 9th, she will take on Marissa Ellis in a Featherweight encounter between two promising up-and-comers. Good luck Ali!
